Mortasheen concept - Apocalocust II
Added 2016-06-23 07:52:17 +0000 UTCI've shared a concept for a locust/grasshopper Arthropoid before, and a lot of people liked how strange it was, but the more I've thought of the concept, the more I've wanted it to be more of a Kamen Rider shoutout. We don't have a lot of super-humanoid Arthropoids, or a lot of "heroic" themed Mortasheen monsters, and I'm really liking how this digital sketch came out.
Now, a real "locust" is just a type of grasshopper that's changed color and gotten more aggressive under stress....so I figure this monster has two modes, one of them more of a ravenous, flesh-eating berserker with "villainous" colors.
