The fun thing about this game's concept was that there were no actual rules to what any of these meant. Creatures would be generated, environments would be drawn, and players would place bets on which creature was best suited to survive a given environment.
You didn't necessarily have a creature that was "yours" - it only mattered that the final, winning creature was the one you put the most of your chips into.
So players basically had to debate and use their imaginations to convince one another which animal would fare best in the drawn environment, and why.
