Jaw Critter
Added 2015-12-25 13:03:11 +0000 UTCI've been drawing this bird-like humanoid with no upper jaw for a couple years now, and I think I've shared a different sketch of it before.
I want to use it in Mortasheen, but I just cannot for the life of me decide what kind of powers or abilities it should have. Its design doesn't really communicate a clear one to me, except that it surely has to do something with its "bite," or rather a "sting" when it stabs things with its teeth.
Effects I've considered for its venom have included:
-Victim falls apart at the joints
-Hallucinations of your worst fears (been done too often?)
-Can't stop dancing until exhausted (what people once believed spider bites could cause)
-High pressure bleeding; one small bite and you exsanguinate
-Petrification as your bones all fuse together.
-Mummification as your body fluids purge
