Added 2015-07-29 09:56:23 +0000 UTCThis monster went from a rough idea to a sketch to a final, color drawing in only a few hours, kind of a record, though maybe I rushed it. I might work on it some more when I get up again later tonight.
I'm especially having a hard time coming up with its main powers. I've got too many monsters with weaponized eyes already!

2015-07-30 14:01:00 +0000 UTCI'm spoiled on the Grimlocks monster from FFIX, I'm seeing it having random powers that are based on whatever eyes happen to pop up. Kind of a roulette wheel/lucky dip thing.
2015-07-30 01:12:31 +0000 UTCmaybe it could be a intelligence gathering monster and it's eyes can each float independently from its head to gather information edit: this has become one of my favorites, its skin texture is superb and the eyeless socket makes it look like its amazed at what it can see "ooooh! look at that!"
2015-07-29 16:49:53 +0000 UTCI think it should normally, itself, be a collector of stray eyeballs, but it will have much darker abilities; set off psionic thermal blasts as hot or as cold as it desires, sometimes hot enough to boil flesh to a gory pool or cold enough to freeze objects solid. in a sheer emergency, it could inflate its rubbery stomach with air like a pufferfish and flashing several layers of chromatophores to make a scary face and using neural broadcasters and an ear-splitting sonic blast to scare away enemies. It could also pop out any of its eyes and control them as little explosive minions
