Velvet Worms

Help I have four possible designs for a Velvet Worm monster and I like them all equally Top left: I thought a creepy tapir/elephant-like vibe would be cool, and a bit of a nod to the fact that these animals are related to Opabinia. I thought a cute face on the end of the "trunk" would be cool with a more terrifying maw on the main body. Top right: foregoing any worm-like body plan might be really fun, turning the animal's whole body into both a pair of arms and a grimacing mouth. This MIGHT be the one I lean to the most, especially because it just feels like the most unexpected route to go. Bottom left: a more direct human/velvet worm fusion, more like what you would expect, which has its downside but I just really like the shape I came out with and the mouth placement. Bottom right: another one that skips being worm-shaped, but I tried to capture the "spirit" of a velvet worm in a quasihumanoid mutant. This one has no eyes, which is true of many real velvet worm species; the two tubes are its glue-guns. I could rework the ones I don't end up using into other monsters, but it wouldn't feel quite the same...

Lets try this again Woj. "A dragon that attracts its prey with its huge, swollen water-filled bioluminscent stomach and harpoons it with ropelike tooth-tipped tongues"

I like top right and bottom left ☺ Bottom right doesn't really have much unique going for it, and top left's 'main' body has been used on quite a lot of stuff (though i like it's trunk thing)

I love all of them, but the two left ones (upper left and lower left) are the ones that make the most sense to me, if we assume that velvet worm fusion is anything like arthropod fusion (which I believe is your intent). The other two could be salvageable as zombie spawn (especially upper right, looks like the result of a velvet worm crawling into a zombie corpse while it's regenerating), while the bottom right gives me a vampiric feel.

Oh, sure. But that apparent fuzzy cuteness is part of their charm.

Fuzziness would be added in later! It's hard to do on paper. Up close, a velvet worm's fuzz is actually lots of little pointed warts on its skin!

Top left is certainly my fav

I like the designs, especially top left, but I feel as though the textures don't do a good job of capturing velvet worms. They should be a bit more... fuzzy. These range from gnobbly to drippy.

I like them all a lot, but I like the bottom two a bit more than the top two. The shape of the bottom left and the "face" of the bottom right are both effectively unsettling.
