There was a Dickie’s BBQ Pit in Andover, MA that closed in May 2022. It was and is the only Dickie’s located inside of I-495, so it was the only Dickie’s in the Boston area. It was located in a strip mall and I think that it occupied the same space that once housed a video rental place. When I first saw the sign above the door in early 2021 I was pretty sure that it was a chain restaurant that I never heard of, and a quick search confirmed my suspicion. I ate there once and I wasn’t impressed. The person behind the counter removed a rack of cooked ribs from plastic wrapping before serving them to me.
