Harvestables Discussion
Added 2024-02-08 20:11:24 +0000 UTCStarting next week I'll be working on getting all harvestables fixed and updated. I'm also going to take a look to see if I can create a quick fix for the issue with not being able to care for harvestables when they're not in season.
I'd like to let everyone share their feelings about my harvestables and how they function. If you have suggestions please let me know in the comments below. This will be the last major update to harvestables (outside of any necessary patch updates) so if there's something you'd like to see added or changed, this is the perfect time to let me know! :)
My plans so far:
The main thing I want to add to harvestables with this update is to make the garden effects optional. There's a few ways I think I can do this but I need to play around with it a little before I decide. If you have suggestions let me know!

These are some great ideas!!! Let me see what I can do. If I can't fit these into the next update I may add a mini-mod for this.

2024-02-20 01:23:36 +0000 UTCHi, I want to firstly thank you for the amazing variety and complexity of your mods, I totally agree it has enriched our gameplay experience and I am sure the upcoming updates will match that! That being said, I do want to suggest something, hoping it is possible/agreeable and I am not writing this too late: I would love if there were more ways for us to feed harvestables to our livestock directly, without creating the animal treats, for example by hand feeding them or refilling the shed and animal feeder with other grains and harvestables such as wheat, corn and barley, apples, bananas, potatoes and sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin etc beneficial for livestock. I don't have a very clear idea on how to implement it and what would make it easier from a modding perspective, maybe you can make it so certain harvestables simply allow livestock animals to eat from them, if reachable, just like with the wild prairie grass or maybe we can collect food scraps in the future when prepping ingredients for cooking or thanks to the waste not lot trait that we can then use as feed for livestock. Also, it would be nice if your salt crystals could be used by livestock to lick (for cows, horses and goats). Anyway, thank you again and excuse my excessive rambling, long story short anything that would add to the current options in game when it comes to feeding/treating livestock will be greatly appreciated!

2024-02-15 11:43:18 +0000 UTCHello and welcome! If you have Cheesemaking installed, and your sim is a certain level or is a Botanist, they can collect cultures from different types of harvestables or spoiled food. Maybe I can do more features in an add-on specifically for Botanists? If anyone is interested and has suggestions for this idea let me know!

2024-02-10 18:58:03 +0000 UTCI'm relatively new to your mods but went on a super spree and downloaded everything. Absolutely fantastic mods and I love your website. I just discovered that you can harvest individual heads of corn for yeast and I thought this was such a cool feature. I'm not sure if more of your crops can be harvested in such a way but I'd love to see more of that in gameplay.
