Check-In

Before I check in, I want to say thank you for being so patient with this last set of updates. I know it's taken a while between my original updates and the Home Chef updates and I appreciate you all being so understanding.

⚠️ Update 12/10/23

I've been sick all weekend so it's been slow going but I just finished the site updates. I still need to upload links but I really need some rest so I'm going to head to bed. As long as I don't wake up feeling worse I should have links fixed and updates ready for everyone soon.

I forgot there was a patch this week. I'm going to test everything with the new patch before I release everything, which should be no later than Friday.

I'm a couple of days behind for public release so the new timeframe is looking like they should be available by Tuesday/Wednesday.

I'm not sure if anyone else is having an issue with the fizzing machine, but if I reload the game, it's locked in a state that doesn't allow you to use it. I still have the issue with mods removed so I just created a quick fix for it. I'm partway through packing files (again...), it will be late, but I still expect to get them added to the folder tonight.

⚠️ Update 12/01/23

I found a couple of small issues so I'm doing a little more playtesting but I should have the folder updated Saturday.

I'm finally at a place where I'm fairly confident with a timeline, so I wanted to fill you all in and let you know what's coming.

Today & Tomorrow:

I just finished the last set of updates for individual files, so today I will do a little more testing to ensure nothing was missed. Then later tonight, I'm going to start putting together packages. I'll do another quick test tomorrow of the packaged files, and then I'll upload the files to the Patron Downloads Folder. Patrons will get a notification once they've all been added to the folder and are available.

Tomorrow, I'm going to attempt a livestream to go over how to install my content, go over major updates, and show any new features I've added. I'm really terrible at the whole streaming thing, but there are so many changes to my content that I think it would be a good idea. This changelog is a big one.

After that, I'm going to spend the next few days getting the files on the site and on CurseForge updated. This means that all updated files should be available publicly by Sunday (Monday or Tuesday for Curseforge). I'll post a public update with the changelog when everything is ready.

It will take a little longer to update the download page information to the most current info, but I have someone helping me with that so I'm hoping it will all be current by the end of next week.

Next Week:

The preserving recipes will not be available until later next week. Since there's a lot to the preserving mechanic, it's going to require a few more steps to get those in line with the changes I had to make to get them working correctly. Any updates to other content, like minor mods, will be available next week as well.

There will also be a glut of content available to Patrons over the next couple of weeks. Please note: this will be more than I usually release at once, but I've been creating while updating files so I'm kind of playing catch-up. More on that soon!

After that...

...I will FINALLY be able to get back to planned content. Patrons can check the last few WIP posts for more info on what's coming, and I'll likely be adding some polls for the next project soon.
