WIP Process

I've been DYING to make this heart cake for the game for like 2 years and I finally was able to get it done in time for Valentines - it came out so gorgeous!💗 I also made a tangy, strawberry-filled drink to go with it. It's even got some colored sugar around the rim of the glass 😉

I couldn't have a red velvet cake without the right ingredients so I also added a new mill recipe for 'Red Cocoa Powder'. I thought of using red dye but when I researched how this cake was made originally I decided to just make a different type of cocoa powder for it. 

I'm wrapping up the Valentines recipes in the next day or two and will have them available for early access by the weekend. I'll also have all the lot objects, a small mod, and some woodworking recipes available. The woodworking recipes will let your sims craft my crafting appliances/objects on the woodworking bench (you can see them and their textures in the pics above). There also may be a few small updates included with this week's early access stuff but a larger public update will likely be released next week. 

I'm still working on the tuning for the preserving recipes. The olives work just like the tea leaves do and will give you a large basket of olives to use in other recipes. The apricots can be dried like coffee except there will only be one drying stage. When it's ready your sim will throw them into a cannister and then they can pull servings from it until it's gone. 

The vinegar ingredient is going to be a fun one to craft. Your sim will make a grain mash on the stove then pour it into a small cask. The cask will not begin fermenting unless it's placed on a preserving shelf and it will ferment in 3 stages. As the contents slowly ferment the cask will become more stained and aged. You can collect vinegar at any stage but the longer you wait the more aged it becomes and aged vinegar will sell for considerably more simoleons!

The vinegar will use Yeast as an ingredient so I've added some packets of Yeast Culture as an ingredient in addition to some other cultures I'll be using for the upcoming Cheesemaking skill/recipes and future Fermenting recipes like nectar and ale. Golden Lotus Patrons will have access to the new culture ingredients later this month along with a little bit of additional gameplay so your sim can obtain them in-game! 

In the pics above you'll also see a wip of the salt rock I'm be adding to the game. It will function like a crystal but you can use it at the mill to make different types of salt to be used in cooking and preserving. 

There's a lot more but I was so excited about everything I've done so far I wanted to share 😁 I'm sure I'll have another WIP post for you all soon.
