Discussion

Topic: Harvestables ๐ŸŒพ

I have a few updates to make for harvestables and I have a larger set of harvestables coming with the next project so I wanted to start a discussion before the next set of updates.

I'd like to know what you think of my harvestables in general. How do you like the garden effects and special seasonality of them? Do you enjoy using them in your garden? What do you think of the (long but informational) descriptions? Do you like the integrations I've made for them or would you like to see me add/incorporate them into other parts of the game? I could keep asking questions but you get the gist ๐Ÿ˜‰

Please let me know what you think in the comments below. Your ideas, comments, and honesty are welcome and appreciated! Constructive criticism makes my content better but please be kind. I will take all suggestions into consideration but please remember my time is limited so I won't be taking suggestions/requests to make my mods compatible with other creators mods.

To second this suggestion, just put all the stardew valley harvestables in the game please thank you I'd kill for that. I'd be a patron 3x for that

I literally can't play the game without your harvestables and food anymore. (especially growing up in cajun louisiana). The descriptive recipes, the details in the garden with the insects and weather, the beautiful finished dishes. All perfect. Esp crawfish. the only thing I could really hope for is being able to use the purple/yellow/green carrots/bell peppers/tomatoes in other recipes.

I love your harvestables and vastly prefer them to easier/less realistic alternatives! One thing Iโ€™ve been wanting to see: in the Pacific Northwest US/Canada we have alllllllllll the drupal fruits. Blackberries and salmonberries grow wild and in abundance, and on the agriculture side weโ€™ve got raspberries along with a billion delicious cultivars like boysenberries, loganberries, olalieberries, and my fav, marionberries. Iโ€™ve long wished for more wild drupals to hunt for (Evergreen Harbor, Brindleton Bay, and Granite Falls feel incomplete without โ€˜em imho) and wonder if that could be combined with splicing/breeding for new varieties. And to make โ€˜em even more realistic โ€” make the wild ones thorny so that Sims picking from them might end up with an itchy buff for an hour or two!

I agree with everyone here! The details you put into your harvestables is what makes them so special. I personally would just love more. More harvestables and more recipes would be awesome. I like the vases idea but I would also love to be able to give bouquets in game. Like if my sim goes to a party or on a date or has an anniversary or graduates or whatever. No idea if thatโ€™s possible of course but it could be fun (if interest to you)
