Hi, here's what I did since the last devlog:
Added some events to the main campaign (added minor nanako/bell event to act 2, moved kino/ earnest battle to act 2, added a minor event where chii says that you have a bounty, added hostile adventurers to act 3)
Did ~3 playtests and did some fixing & balancing
Released version 0.10.0
Did some thinking about what to do next
Added some minor things (e.g. shop items have a chance to be 50% off, average enchantment level of vault items increases as you progress through floors/acts)
I feel like I'm hitting a turning point in development where I'm going from "How do I make this game done?" to "How do I make this game good?", which is exciting.
I haven't decided on what to work on next, but here are some potential projects I've been thinking about:
evening activities (e.g. train w/ viola, take care of garden w/ miran)
companion comments in dungeon (e.g. "look, the stairs!", "i think we should be safe for now...")
power-ups for advancing character routes
character menu which shows character profile + how to get the next event (replaces in-game guide)
per-run power-up system (e.g. food which gives feats/moves until end of day)
optional challenge encounters (e.g. powerful monster that guards key but doesn't chase)
dungeon npcs (e.g. bandits, rival adventurers, mysterious tutors)
dungeon region variations (e.g. B3-4 has a x% chance to spawn a pirate ship, has an x% chance to be raining/flooded)
monster have weaknesses/resistances
more synergistic feats/moves/items
ai improvements (miran and other ranged companions are too aggressive)
new game w/ seed (for discord competitions, e.g. finish the game in the fewest # of days)
improved mouse support (e.g. moves/items/equip buttons on hud)
controller support
