Im happy you are enjoying this show so far. Already can't wait for the next reaction, episodes 5 and 6 are some of my favourites actually. I absolutely do agree with you on Freiren being portrayed as someone with neurodivergent traits. I think it's the product of her longevity and probably also her nature as an elf. I also agree that this show has a really comforting vibe. It's one of the reasons i love it so much. Im still kinda salty it didn't win the anime of the year :( I did not remember Flamme being introduced in the 4th episode, im really glad to see her tho. She's lowkey my favourite character right after Fern lmao. I love how the author of Freiren writes women. For a while i was convinced he was actually a woman but no, it's a dude! Im currently rewatching Naruto, so my cravings for well written, fully developed female characters are really high lol
