I had a colleague who worked in Japan for a little over a year. He hated it! The work environment is very stressful, it's still a little behind our current HR standards, and it's very much still patriarchal. Women still get harassed, employees are often forced to work unpaid overtime, and there is this weird... I don't know if it's a rule or just kind of how things work, but if anyone asks you to go out for drinks, most workers are required to agree. They end up going out a lot and are expected to drink. So the party they are at and the game they are playing in episode 3 is probably more accurate than it should be. I love these, two. They are so sweet. Can't wait to see more.
