Hot Wave is a real music competition in Thailand and was the biggest national music competition for high school students. The prize is a large sum of money which could help a band promote themselves more or record a demo or single to use to hopefully get signed. It was also televised so it was great for exposure to gain more fans and grab record labels attention! Apparently a lot of really famous Thai bands came from this show.

This is now my #1 comfort show, I love everything about it, so I love seeing people discover and enjoy it for the first time! The actor who plays Gun, Fourth, is actually my top Thai actor AND singer, now, too! I would highly suggest checking out both his and Gemini (Tinn)'s music outside of this show when you're done! They have a couple duets (one for another show and one that was not), and quite a few solos and every single one is worthy of a good listen! Last thing, Fun Fact: This show was one that caught so many BL fans completely off-guard! So many people didn't even want to give it a chance (bc of how trope-y it was, I would guess, and people were also sick of high school romance), but when they actually gave it a try they were pleasantly surprised and it was tons of people's top 5 if not top 1 BL of the year!
