I still have some connections to them and they still do not understand that even though I love them as parents, I do not love them as people. So sometimes I think of just coming out and getting disowned. That would liberate me of my burden of them. Does that make me a bad person? To use my sexuality as a means to run away?

2024-08-08 11:22:49 +0000 UTCi loved how in one of the first episodes you said that shun needs to lead dai in his own space and to take the initiative and that‘s exactly what happened here with the kiss. the way dai didn‘t lean in even after being stared at with those big eyes which was basically an invitation, he respected shun‘s boundaries from before and waited for him. it must have been so hard. ah so beautiful.

From Shun's perspective, he is seeing this guy that was 100% for him just immediately turn to someone else when someone the same age who is attractive shows up. It kinda reinforces Shun's idea of Dai being a 'player'. Is it fair? Maybe not. But Shun is openly telling Dai what is wrong and Dai understands, which I think is more important than people outside their relationship's opinion of it.
