it just is incredibly disrespectful esp when they have to feel like they won’t live up to being bts dongsaengs bcs of the immense pressure. people act like txt is the first group to debut after a successful group sprouted from their agency, but to limit them to it and say they only got that fame and got to where they are bcs of bts is insane. obviously it helped but they worked hard too ..

2024-01-18 17:25:57 +0000 UTCTaehyun has this subdued charm that might be not easy to grasp at first. He is extremely cerebral and a bit of an old soul, while Yeonjun is kinda the opposite. Old age jokes aside he is the most vulnerable and bratty (rivaled by Beomgyu) and as these two were the first trainees of those who ended in the debut team it creates a really fascinating dynamic.

2024-01-18 13:18:20 +0000 UTCpeople blow stuff out of proportion fr. It's true that they absolutely had a huge privilege at debut, it showed in numbers and it's not fair to ignore it. But to say that they rode a coattails is just unreasonable, their music styles are VERY distinct too.

2024-01-18 08:37:26 +0000 UTCit always made me so mad whenever people would say that txt had it easy bcs of the fact that they were in the same company as bts. especially after this episode aired and seeing them literally speaking about how rough they had it bcs they were under bighit before bts blew up. they experienced the basement practice room with low walls and no space, they didn’t just immediately start out with a huge ass practice space and a company that was wealthy. they were there at bts’ early days too, they also couldn’t eat properly, had no money ect. they were fortunate to be able to taste just a little bit of that nicer life only after bts blew up. and that’s also the case for literally every group that debuts in a company that has successful artists, like skz had a company that had got7, 2pm, miss a, twice that made people anticipate their debut. there is very rare cases where a group debuts with no senior artist that gives them a small push. that doesn’t mean the groups don’t work hard to get to where they are. all trainees suffer if we’re gonna be honest, they have to practice literally 15+ hours a day, they have to skip meals, they have to manage school at the same time .. like regardless of the company all trainees have to put in that work to make it so limiting groups to having it easy makes me so angry.

I think depending on how popular the company is they can have part time jobs (since Suga had one when they were training), but i remember hearing that how it works is: the company will pay for stuff during the training and then will take the money from artists after the debut as compensation. There was this group called Loona that i really loved and their company got into a huge scandal when it came out that the girls didn't get paid for 6 years after the debute. The company was shit in general, they got into a lawsuit with the group members and fortunately all of them were able to leave. There are a loooot of very predatory contracts in this industry.

2024-01-17 10:32:39 +0000 UTCI feel like it's just that Yoongi and Namjoon have similar types of thought processes and communication styles, so they click in a much different way to the rest of the members. Not that they're closer per say, but they are definitely on the same wavelength very often.

Hobi joined the group and moved into the dorms about a month and a half after Yoongi. So Yoongi and Joon have about 45 days on Yoongi, Joon, and HOBI. But you'd never know that the way Joon and Yoongi talk about their history. Like what on earth happened in that month and a half to bond them like that?? haha
