I hate to have to restrict my uploads to Patreon, so even if I don't upload them, I may just give you all permission to upload it yourselves cause at this point I'm just about done. CATC 2 has been up for over 5 years now, and they decide all of a sudden to remove it? Yeah, I sent them an email, and if they don't give me a valid reason, we're moving.

2020-05-08 20:24:41 +0000 UTCWithout opening an official court case against the company with pictures of course of your video's being claimed, and then they have deniability of themselves being able to go "Oh, well we file the claims for the content creators. That leaves us not liable for that" then it'd become who has the better lawyers basically for the court case. Plausible deniability is a bitch.... Sorry, wish I could say this could be avoided on any site, but none of the video posting sites are truly safe from this level of scummy behavior.

Then creators are ESPECIALLY vulnerable because we almost HAVE to reverse claim to get our content back up. It's ridiculous that this is happening to us man...I fucking hate it. I really wish there was some type of way for us to come together and get them the FUCK out of pur business.

It's a site where someone says "This at this site is under my copyright" and they file the claim for them without any legal backing or protections. They are an information stealing site too, designed to get as much from you so they can sell that information to thirdparties. Like facebook, but in your face about it.

They literally have DMCA in their name, and should automatically not be taken seriously at all. It's clearly a fake company made by someone with some kind of agenda. I guessed that it's part of the growing trend of people trying to get vids removed so they can post them as private. It's become kind of a sick little game on pornhub of people locking alot of vids and going "I'll only subscribe to you if you have good private vids" so it's trading subscriptions for access to other people's works. It's..... downright stupid that it's been ignored by the people in charge of the site.

Without knowing who it is that issued the claim, I'm not even going to look into a reverse claim...it just isn't worth my safety.

Some jerkoff hits the report button because they find the work objectional (nothing against PH rules, it's just not totheir taste) or sometimes for no better reason than to get their jollies. They couldn't find a real reason listed and so picked the one that is most likely to get attention (copywrite infringement) and PH employs people who are so lazy, they won't fight for you when they can err on the side of caution and then apologize later if they feel they are in the mood. So ultimately, artists get their work kicked, Mr Report gets to feel special because he or she affected something (possibly the first time in their life) and the PH moderator doesn't have to do any real work unless you complain. From their point of view it's win-win. I hate hypocrisy that is justified by laziness!
