It’s Okay

It’s hard to cry, especially when you try so hard to seem strong and in control. When sadness strikes you in the heart and you feel the tears coming, it’s okay… just let it all out. It’s better to cry like a big baby who lost their pacifier then to keep it held in, you’ll feel better after.

There are three types of tears. 1) Lubrication. Keeps your eyes from drying out. 2) Flushing. Removes foreign particles from your eyes. 3) Emotional. When your brain is feeling too many emotions too deeply, your brain empties out all the hormonal chemicals through your tear ducts. The removed chemicals are then replaced with endorphins, which is why you feel better after a good cry. Not crying means your brain is stewing in a toxic chemical soup, which can cause damage in the long-term. So remember, emotional crying has an important biological function. Don't be afraid to cry.
