I've begun work on a boar character. I'll start with sculpting using existing high-polygons (Ao's high-polygon).
From there, I'll proceed with retopology, rigging, and texturing.
Boar in the image is still a rough outline, but the final character will have a lot of fur.
In my experience working on an existing character, I felt that texturing was more efficient after rigging, since there was a possibility of retopology corrections being made after rigging. However, if you're only painting a rough base color, it's a good idea to do it after rigging, as you can see the finished image earlier.
For the time being, we will continue to work on it until the end of September, but since we also need to create new stages, it may not be possible to complete the animation in time for October. In that case, we have prepared animation scenarios for Ao and Genn.
I'll keep you updated on my progress here.
