Heavyweight Tier Exclusive - Minimax Video Prompt

As you have seen in my last post, I've been toying for a day now with this new AI generative tool, Minimax Video-01. It is currently free and you can find it by clicking here.

It is, of course, censored, and some sensitive keywords will prevent you from generating your prompt. Most important of all, I've had some trouble generating combat scenes with submission holds, so I guess realistic violence is a no-go. Either that or two bodies against one another creates a horrifying mess of tangled flesh. Not recommended.

Also, everyone looks like older actors because any attempt to generate a younger person is also blocked, for obvious reasons, but it is somewhat irritating that the service doesn't seem to want to generate people in their twenties. Everyone looks in their late forties. Oh well. It is an acceptable compromise to the alternative, I suppose.

Also, sometimes, it will block you from generating the prompt, and other times, it will generate the video, but delete it just as it reaches 100% generation, so you've lost a lot of time. Don't be too wild in your prompt and you won't lose too much time.

Another thing is that it's a Chinese-developed tool. I state this because it feels like it has a strong bias towards Asian faces, which is not necessarily a problem. You'll see the crowds in the background are usually Asian people. But main characters are correctly portrayed in the nationality you ask for. Using actors as reference in your prompt also helps.

The biggest issue, I think, is the lack of an 'Undesired content' prompt field. You can tell the AI what you want all day, but you cannot tell it what you DO NOT want, which leads to some weird misinterpretations of the prompt. For example, I have no idea why sometimes Vivian is portrayed with white geisha makeup, which makes the video look weirdly racist somehow.

Also, be ready for a lot of creepy arms and legs movement. As with other generative AI tools, legs bend in unnatural ways, arms sometimes disappear, etc. As I said, I did not show you the worse generations, but it gets Cronenbergian at times.

I still don't know if the use of bracket to emphasize important tokens is permitted. I still need to play around the tool to find out more.
