Don't Flex On Me Yumi-Chan Build 0.1.4 - Download

Another day, another download.

Here is just a quick update. As I mentioned earlier, I am very slowly beginning to get better at Ren'Py, so I spent the entire day today nip & tuckin' my way through all three currently available episodes of the game to add all sorts of small cosmetic upgrades.

Such upgrades include :

• Characters now 'bump' whenever they're talking : I did so to train your attention on who is currently talking.

• Added dynamic text in the dialog box : now sometimes the text moves and jiggles to add emphasis on certain words or parts. I might have gone overboard with it so I apologize in advance. I am not known for my restraint, you know me.

• Dialog window hiding in some key scenes : the dialog box will now disappear before a full-screen animation takes place, in order to make you appreciate it more!

• Smoother transitions : went back through all the code to make sure scene switches are smoother, less quick and jarring. Also, episodes 2 and 3 now begin with establishing shots of outside the protag's apartment, to offer a slower start.

• Some small dialog changes : here and there, when I felt some sentences could use a rewording or additional details to clarify the descriptions.

You might notice some graphical glitches now that the characters 'bump'. You'll see Rin's hair cropped out, for example, so I'll have to revamp all the character sprites, but I feel it can wait until the next update.

Are all these small changes a good enough reason to start the game over and read it all from the beginning? I'll let you decide. I just know my conscience is much more at ease knowing that this new smoother build exists. The game is getting closer to how I want it to look, and this pleases me greatly.
