I have completed work on the bearhug minigame for The Bodyguard 2. As I explained earlier, it's a rehash of the Bunny Girls' bodyscissors game, where you just spam the spacebar really quickly to survive. I have tweaked it and added some subtleties to it, however. Now you can see both failures and successes in the on-screen UI, adding some welcome tension, I think. Also, each success is more difficult to obtain than the last, since the number of spacebar presses required to win augments each time. Dare I say that the game has been significantly improved, in that regard.
I fully expect you guys to tell me that it is too difficult, again, but I personally enjoy the struggle. I fail just as many times as I win, so I feel it's well-balanced to give you that 'down to the wire' stress. It really sells the idea of struggling against a powerful woman such as Vivian, at least to my tastes.
Now, note that I said only the minigame was complete. The scenes to give it context are not yet written, so this is what I'll be doing until the end of the month to be able to offer you a build with more meat on the bone. Last time we saw poor little Rook, she had fled her first encounter with Vivian, accompanied by the squad Captain. She felt safer close to her boss.
How will they end up separated? How will Rook feel to find herself face-to-face with the killer bodyguard by herself? I hope you are looking forward to find out.

On another note, I'm thinking it's about time to prepare a store page to sell Hypnotized By My Assassin to a larger audience. I kept it as an 'exclusive' download for subscribers, and by the time it hits the online marketplaces, at least 3-4 months will have passed since its initial release here. I think that's a good delay. Anyways, the game is probably all over pirate websites, so I might as well try to make a little money off of it. I haven't checked on pirated sites for my own games for a while, since it is very disheartening every time, but it's not hard to believe the game is already out there, widely distributed for free. Sigh.
Of course, due to the subject matter of the game, I don't think Steam is the right platform for the game, but Itchio should suffice for now. For this new release, I might take the time to go back and add some length to the CG scenes. On release, I felt that at least two of the three endings were shorter than the other one and I did not want anyone to feel cheated out of their specific kink, so the idea to come back to them is constantly on the back of my mind. We'll see.
