Got a notification that a package was coming my way today -- thought it was copies of Catacomb of Torment from Oni Press, but, nope, it's a comp of the DEADPOOL/AGENT X EPIC COLLECTION from Marvel.
The book reprints the two issues of Agent X that I wrote featuring the return of fan non-favorite Fight-Man (with very nifty art by Juan Bobillo and Marcelo Sosa). I actually love these two comics and am glad more folks will get to read, enjoy or be annoyed by them. members of Fight-Man's obscure rogues gallery also return, including The Hooded Eye, Fight-Man's ex-wife Beverly LaCoco, The Plug-In Maniac, The Massive Globula, Atomic Lou, The Able-Bodied Assassin, Polka-Doctor (with his Hypno Hate Wheel), Trigger Carr, Punchdrunk, Glass-Eyed Freddie, Metalhead, Slugger, The One-Man Atrocity, Crimeasaurus 2, Big Strong Man, Bigger Stronger Man, Biggest Strongest Man, Fisticuff Woman and probably some others. You also get the first and last appearance of many new villains for everyone to forget about, such as The Shiv, The Roman Candle , Mr. Density, Doctorangutan, Slapstick the Clown (with his rubber chicken rocket), Illbilly the Human Beatbox and Blacklung the Malady Man (who has deadly "hands of cancer").
Actually, Doctorangutan appeared in another Marvel comic, believe it or not (!). An Avengers cold war series by Howard Chaykin that takes place in the 1950s. They needed nazis and someone dredged up Doctorangutan, bless their soul. Comics are nutty, aren't they?
Doctorangutan. Ha ha ha. I got paid to make stuff like that up. Them's were the days.
Anyway, here's to another reprint of some of my very silly superhero work. And my dumb last name is even on the cover, so, yay, for me. I guess this thing is in shops now if anyone is curious. Have at thee, effendi!
