Catacomb of Torment #2: Red Blend

Sneak preview of the story I wrote for the second issue of the EC/Oni Press title, Catacomb of Torment. Art by Lukas Ketner, colors by Francesco Segala and color flatting by Sabrina Del Grosso. Lettering by Richard Starkings and Comicraft.

I'm very happy with how the story turned out, the art has a nice throwback feel to the old EC stories in the Tormentor's narrative panels, and a more modern look in the story proper, especially with the color work. The lettering is an updated take on the old EC work, which was done using a Leroy Lettering set.

My second script for the series is alos going to be illustrated by Lukas Ketner, and is currently scheduled for issue #5. Two stories I pitched were not accepted, I have a new story pitch in the system that I hope gets approved. I'm working on some more ideas to pitch when my schedule allows.

Some time after the comic hits the stands, I'll be posting a PDF of the script for folks at the top two Patreon tiers. Nice to have something new to post for the script level. The same will go for the second EC script, "Necronomicomicon". Looking forward to folks seeing these new comics.

CATACOMB OF TORMENT #2 hits shelves on August 28th, at better comics shops out there. I believe folks can still pre-order a copy with shops until Monday, July 28th.
