Four Years Ago Today
Added 2025-05-15 00:11:21 +0000 UTCI had my last outdoor playdate with "the little girl", soon to be known as Winky the Pirate Girl.
A friend of mine was going to adopt Winky, but Winky had other plans. A few hours after I took the outdoor pictures, she ran into the house while Sarah was going out and basically adopted us. Our kid was the one who made the ruling decision to keep her -- "let's try it and see what happens". The other photos above are the first of Winky in the house. I almost busted out crying, I was so happy. I texted my friend and explained the situation to her, and she was very understanding about it. And Winky's been sailing around our house ever since.
My beloved little pirate. I'm off to give her the 4th Anniversary snacks I bought her.
