Merchandise??
Added 2025-01-24 20:34:10 +0000 UTCNext month I would like to try making some merchandise for the first time ever. It would just be for personal use and in single batches since I don't have the money to buy things in bulk. I was thinking of making a few designs to test with, and if anyone is interested in buying one I wouldn't mind selling the prototypes and extras I make (since it can be a little cheaper to buy more than 1 at a time) for however much it costs to ship them to the person. I'm nervous about the idea of selling them for profit at the moment since I've never done this before lol. But for now I just want to see if I can really make merch with my art if I can. If anyone is interested just let me know once I've posted some ideas and the results.
At the moment I just had ideas for an acrylic stand and individual stickers. I'm not sure how adult I should make the merch so I might keep it simple, or maybe experiment with different effects. I've thought of using charms or other methods to dress things up a bit. I've also considered sticker sheets of specific characters if there's any demand for it. If I can make something like a squishy keychain, or if a mousepad isn't too difficult to design, I'll try that out as well some time. But for now I know it's something I've always wanted to do, so I want to push myself to try it out as soon as I get my ducks in a row 🫡

The only non-chinese website I know is ZapCreative (UK). They have different type of products and different types of material (transparent acrylic, wood, fluorescent acrylic,...) and their price aren't too high if you take like a small bulk (for example 50 double-sided charms, 5 designs x10, is 47€ for me tax included). But you can probably find an American one that'll suit you better (or even a local print shop!)

2025-01-24 21:38:24 +0000 UTCThank you for the link! If I'm able to successfully make some stuff I'd love to let you guys vote on what gets drawn, and maybe in the future even make stickers a reward perk people can sign up for if shipping times don't end up being an issue. But we'll have to see about that since a lot of the companies I've looked at ship out of China and take forever to get to the states.

2025-01-24 21:06:26 +0000 UTCI would love to get even a few! If it can help, I saw someone on twitter saying that you could use https://wooacry.com/ to test out your acrylic stands design (checking marging, previsualisation on end product etc etc) Don't know how well it works but it may be worth a try.
