FYI: Two New Welcome to Eltingville Art Auctions

I have two more production art auctions up on eBay, these are the production model drawings for "Sir Pete" DiNunzio and Josh "Axel Skullpunisher" Levy. Both come with a companion drawing, Josh's axe and Pete's frozen body after Lord Atrocity blasted him with a freeze spell.

You can find the auctions here:

Team Pete: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256601624214

Team Josh: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256601628778

And aside: If you look at the model designs, you'll notice the white ink spots on Josh and Pete's face. That's because the clean-up artist (Eric Keyes) drew in their acne. But since it's the D&D fantasy versions, I saw them as being clear-skinned. I almost went with designing more buff, muscled versions of themselves, but because it was a cold opening for a new pilot with unknown characters, I thought that would be way too confusing for viewers. Also, it's funny to see them all shlubbed out in their D&D costumes.

WHILE I'M HERE:

EDITED at 7:10 PM TO ADD: BOTH COPIES HAVE BEEN SOLD. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Also, thanks again to everyone who picked up Beasts of Burden signed/sketched hardcovers. I am still working on the remaining orders -- signing, sketching, packing and shipping.

I have two copies of BEASTS OF BURDEN: OCCUPIED TERRITORY left, if anyone wants them. That's the last of the hardcover comps I have, unless there's one floating around I'm unaware of. Same spiel, signed by Sarah and I (see photo below), sketched in by me (ditto), shipping will take 4-8 weeks due to the number of books I have to finish working on (and my stupid hand, also see below), but hopefully sooner.

Sorry for the Patreon being sales-oriented lately, things are tight and I'm in scramble mode right now.

Re: my stupid mitt: I got another pain management treatment this past Saturday, this time it was trigger point needles and medicine in my neck and shoulder. My doctor told me I'd be sore for a while and he wasn't kidding. I spent most of the weekend asleep. Knocked me down something fierce. I'm really hoping this will help out (once the soreness goes away) because it will not only help with my neck and shoulder, but presumably with the radiating pain going into my arm and hand. We shall see. The steroid shot for my hand wasn't as successful as the one for my arm, unfortunately, but it's still within the time range, it might kick in some more. My next appointment is in a month. I see two other doctors before then. And doing some "old man" doctor stuff, saw my GP last week for blood tests, some more referrals including a colonoscopy.

The funny thing is, I probably mentioned it before, but my pain management doctor is an active comics fan. Mostly DC and Marvel, but I gave him a copy of Occupied Territory and he pre-ordered the Omnibus and bought the back issues. He also picked up a copy of World's Funnest and he loved it (his assistant is reading it, also). He brought the copy in and asked me to sign it, so I signed my first comic in a doctor's office. Pretty funny. His kids like comics so I am going to bring a copy of Kid Blastoff next month. I wish I had the Supergirl Adventures issue, but I'll tell him about it. I also might have gotten him to go check out JHUComics and Books, my LCS. he told me the shops he takes his kids to never have a good kid section. I showed him pictures of JHU where the kid books and manga are in front when you walk in. Big Dav Pilkey display etc.

Okay, off to hawk more wares, or draw some wares to hawk, this month really turned into a goocher. Yow.

More better fun stuff asap. Hope you're all well!

Comments

Thanks! I'm definitely feeling a positive change, but the soreness from the needles is making it harder to tell. Fingers crossed (without tingling).

Hoping the pain management helps out.
