Testing out my new steroid-injected arm. And some new Tombows.
It isn't cleaned up and I'm really tired so hopefully there aren't any bad typos or smeared ink lines I'm not seeing. These strips can get blown up real big online, they're drawn fairly small, each panel is approximately 3" x 2 1/2" and I sometimes blanch seeing them enlarged so much.
I've got another Fun Strip gridded out I hope to get done soon, but I'm finishing up a cartoon for the new Tear Them Apart episode that will be posted by Paul on Monday, and I have been inking some three-year + old commissions. The Spy vs Spy vs M&C is looking pretty good and the second take on the Fugazi Deadline cover is getting pushed along.
My arm is honestly feeling better. My hand isn't as noticeable but I'm hoping the steroid shot is actually working and it isn't my imagination. I had some trouble with the lettering and I had some issues with my hand shaking on some lines that I had to keep going back in on to correct with white gel pens and then an 005 Micron pen. Hopefully that will clear up some. I'm trying to get a follow-up with my pain management doctor to go into all that and possibly get another shot for my neck issues. Next week I see the hand neurology specialist and follow-up at the periodontist to check how my gum surgery went and to get another cleaning. One quadrant of my mouth is all settled down, another that got worked on has some weird stuff going on, a sharpness and some receding that is only sort of calming down now. My gum issues have no bearing on my drawing or typing so I'll just stop talking about them.
Wasn't planning a health update but there it is, anyway.
Hope you enjoyed the return of the Broken Robot. Thanks for being here.
More, soon, later.
