Unseen Art: Harrow Demon Sketch by Jill Thompson

I just found this image on my computer while looking for something else in one of the various Beasts of Burden files. It's Jill Thompson's first sketch for the Harrow Demon from "What The Cat Dragged In", the story where we learn about Dymphna's second attempt to kill our canine heroes and how it backfired (much like her first attempt, when she brought several dead road kill dogs back to life and the zombie pooches immediately chased her). This sketch wasn't included in the back matter of the second Beasts of Burden collection (Neighborhood Watch), so, here it is for folks to see.

I'm still waiting on news for a planned Beasts of Burden reprint project, since Neighborhood Watch went out of print last year. I should be hearing something soon. Then I really have to get back to the next arc as soon as I possibly can catch up on everything. I'm starting to think about the characters a lot like they're lost pets and that's a lousy feeling. I need to complete their story, for them, and the readers. And me.

I would love to see a monster tome. I think there's a possibility of something special like a library edition if and when we get the book back on track and completed.

I vote for a hardcover reprint that comes in those old timey looking books like Absolute Sandman got. They're kind of a pain in the ass to read due to size, but they sure are pretty!
