Something about telling the tales of George Michael and Britney Spears made me think about this tale of another kid in the big city. I loved recording an audiobook of A Christmas Carol for you last December, and this was a delight as well. This book is at least 25 times stranger than I remembered, and in the best way. I'm enjoying listening to this episode but can appreciate it's not for everyone. Some of the recent main episodes have been really enjoyable but the "phones are good actually" episode felt vague and out of touch. That conversation was missing research and nuance. It was an unfortunate miss.

After the "phones good, actually" episode, I can't ignore that the content is getting lazy and that the host is not bothering to even fact-check anymore. This ain't an airport, and I don't need to announce my departure lol, but if you're reading this Sarah, please listen to what your long time fans are saying outside of the little Patreon bubble- this podcast has been giving lazy, stale, and badly researched in the last few months.
