This week, we have essentially completed the work on fixing legacy issues brought about by the upgrade to Unreal Engine 5. Lumen and the new lighting architecture provide us with an opportunity to further enhance the character visuals, and we have decided to start with skin rendering.
We have configured three new diffuse and SSS solutions for the characters' skin material. The goal is to more realistically reflect the glow of the skin and to ensure that the characters' skin appears elastic rather than overly smooth under complex lighting conditions.
