Yeah, that's not going to work, and everyone who has tried similar schemes has not been successful. Valve explicitly prohibit that sort of off-Steam alternate-versioning (why 'uncensor patches' have died out) and will happily boot you off of Steam for selling content elsewhere that is not available on Steam as much as they will boot you off for selling content they do not like on Steam.

I do not think you should concern yourself with what happened with 2077. That was a AAA project, by a well-trusted company that made the mistake of over-selling and under-delivering in the midst of one of the most difficult times modern generations have experienced. As for the Steam censuring; thank-you for your commitment to release on DLSite as well. Just remember, if the Agony developers can do what they did, you guys can too!!! I have been wondering how patreon hasn't booted this game yet since they are super heavy censors now.Steam has been more welcoming lately but that can always change very quickly.Dlsite sounds good to me except the japanse censorship rule.Have you heard of Studiofow new distribution website streemsteer.Any interest about releasing there? Since they are making subverse I feel that would be a good option to release this game.Of course it is still in development.
