Some people say that the 1st season should be skipped, because they say it isn't very good. I disagree 100%. While it's true that seasons 2-4 are better than season 1, I think season 1 is quite good. It's best if you have some familiarity with Shakespeare, of course, so perhaps some people don't catch the references. Also, Rowan Atkinson's character in seasons 2-4 is played much differently and probably appeals to more people. Still, season 1 is great and is definitely worth watching. I'm looking forward to it!

2026-01-28 18:45:55 +0000 UTCHey another of my favs! Surprised you are starting a new series, but anyway, seasons 2-4 will probably be more your speed, but season 1 has its moments. There are also 2 very funny specials-- the excellent Christmas special and the Cavalier years, and a movie which was just ok (the deleted scenes were funnier than the movie, I thought, so it could easily have been much better).
