You should check out Brooks' Real Life from 1979. It's a mockumentary about reality TV before reality TV became a thing. I think the first reality TV show aired on PBS in the late 70s.

It’s been decades since I’ve seen this, but I remember it well. I’m already guessing your reactions scene by scene.
