04/15/2024 Devlog - Horny Watah

Hi there! 

 Hope you guys are doing well, time for another devlog! We got quite a few updates to share with you so lets jump into it!

New features:

• Dialogue branching - Now the dialogues can branch, allowing you to choose between different reply options in certain dialogues. Only a prototype at the moment, but we are going to make it prettier later!

  

• Mid-dialogue scenes - Tied with the dialogue branching, now we can insert illustrated scenes mid dialogue, giving room for more interesting scenarios and NSFW scenes.

• Horny water - So far the horny water did not serve any purpose but now I finally implemented the horny mechanics. The longer Chiro stays in the water the hornier she will get, until she will have to flick the bean before being able to do anything.

• Jumping on enemies - Until now the player could only kinda glide on enemies. Which did look quite weird, but now player can both stand on enemies and jump from them, which sends you a bit higher than usual jumps and also stuns the enemy.

• Boss fight improvements - I think its pretty obvious I didn't invest much time into developing the boss battle lol. Partly because of lack of resources, and partly because of lack of skill at that time. Now I'm finally going to give it a little rework, balancing it out and also making it a tiny bit more interesting.

• Controls customization - A frequently requested feature that we finally started looking into!

• Controller support - Coming up soon! 

• Mac support - Also coming up soon.

Art:

• More Chiro expressions - The two Chiro portraits we got at the moment aren't really enough for all the situations, so I'm planning to draw a few more! Will also make a bikini version later.

• More Fryman expressions - More Fryman portraits.

• Fryman idle animation - Fryman is no longer totally static on the beach, wohoo!

• Crocodilf scene progress - Will hopefully be ready this month!

Bug fixes:

• Wall climbing - Never noticed it when playtesting the game, but quite a few people did once it got released lol. Now that i think about it though, perhaps we could make this wall climbing bug a feature instead!

• Spike/Dart knockback after death - A minor bug where dart and spikes kept hitting player even after they were down. Fixed now.

• Standing up animation bug - Another minor bug where the animation looks weird when standing up.

Known Issues:

• Phone framerate bug - A few people experienced issues with framerate, so far its quite difficult to replicate, and pinpoint what causes it. Cant promise it will be fixed in this update, but we will definitely look into it.

Future Plans:

• Shark enemy - New shark lifeguard enemy coming up!

• Beach villa area - More locations for the beach level, one of them is a villa area.

• Train area - A mini level as a transition between the beach and the city levels.

• Fryman NSFW scene - Not to spoil too much, but there are plans for a NSFW scene involving Fryman 😳
