And thus ends this year’s Voretober event!

Gris thought over everything that had happened. He had believed that once Dwayne saw his inner darkness, their relationship would be completely over. Instead, the two of them felt closer than they had ever been before, their bond strengthened by what had occurred.

He loved the wolf more than ever, and as he thought about the future, he remembered what he had said, about how he hadn’t been seeking anxiety treatment due to thinking he deserved to suffer. Gris made a mental note to look for a therapist in the morning, and try to see what he could do to help himself—that surely wouldn’t be an easy journey, but it could be a good start.

The human snuggled next to his boyfriend and smiled. “Love you,” he murmured to the wolf.

Dwayne kissed the top of his head and said, Love you too, babe.”

They were far from over. This marked a new beginning. And Gris couldn’t wait to see where things went from here.
