“So . . . why are we out here again?”
Aster turned to G'raha Tia, the Crystal Exarch, with a confused look on her face.  G’raha gave her a reassuring smile, then told her, “I just figured you could use a little time to relax.  You’re so busy saving the land, after all.”  He blushed.  “And I thought that, perhaps, we could spend some time together. . .”
“Aw, that’s sweet!” Aster replied, oblivious to her friend’s feelings.  “Thanks G’raha!  You’re a really thoughtful guy.”
Upon hearing her use his real name (he usually went by the Crystal Exarch in public spaces), the Miqo'te blushed again, a deeper shade of red this time.  Aster had already turned away, however, and was looking around with a smile.
“Wow, look at that view!” the astrologian said, grinning as she looked over the cliffside and at the land.  “You can see for miles from up here. . . It’s beautiful!”
G’raha joined her at the edge of the cliff, and stared out with a smile.  One could truly see most of the world from up here, get a glimpse of just how small one was in a place so big.  He admired this destination for its majesty, and that was why he had brought her here.  “I’m glad you’re enjoying it,” he told Aster.
“I really am, yeah!” the Hero of Light replied, giving him a smile.  “Thanks!”
“You’re welcome,” the Crystal Exarch said.  “And while we’re here, there’s something I have to tell you. . .”
“Oh, let’s look on the other side!” Aster said, oblivious to his words.  She grabbed his hand and dragged G’hara to the opposite end of the cliff face, looking out at the world below.
“It’s really nice,” the Miqo’te said, smiling.  “Not as nice as you, though. . .”
“Aw, that’s really sweet!” Aster said, giving him a side hug.  To her, this was a simple friendly action, but to him, it was an embrace from the one he loved, and he blushed like mad.  The Hero of Light, however, didn’t even notice his embarrassment—she could be quite obvious sometimes.  When she let go, a light blush remained on G’hara’s face for a few seconds, before returning to its normal shade.
“It’s such a good view,” his astrologian friend said, smiling.  She turned back to him with a big smile.  “Super nice up here, don’t you think?”
G’raha finally couldn’t take it anymore.  He had been hinting his intentions, but that didn’t seem to be working at all.  And so, he decided to say his feelings outright.
“I like you!” the Miqo'te blurted out.  Aster stopped and stared at him, and he felt his face reddening once more.  “I’ve always liked you, ever since I first met you,” he told her.  “Ever since I met you . . .the Hero of Light, savior of the land . . . I’ve been enamored by you.”
There was a brief moment of silence.  G’raha turned away, unable to hold the gaze of the one he loved.  Would she be upset?  No, surely she would—
“G’raha,” Aster said softly.
Immediately the Crystal Exarch blushed again, and he turned to the Hero of Light.  “Y-Yes?” he asked, fidgeting nervously.
A pause.  Then, a big grin burst out onto Aster’s face.  “I’m glad you told me,” she said, walking forward and cupping his cheek.  He leaned into her hand, and listened to her words.
“I like you too, G’raha,” the Hero of Light proclaimed to him.  “You’re so precious to me I can barely stand it.  I love you so very much. . .”
The Crystal Exarch’s face was pink again, and he took a deep breath, gathering his courage.  “T-Then . . . if we both feel the same way about each other . . . can we kiss?” he asked.
Aster grinned.  “Why, of course, my darling.
She leaned in and took initiative, bringing her lips against his in a gentle kiss.  He received her gladly, and the two indulged in this intimate moment for quite a while, deeply drinking each other in.  When they finally let go, the two friends looked deep into each other’s eyes, smiling.
“That was . . . really good,” Aster said.
“Yeah,” replied G’raha.
She smirked.  “Want to do that again?”
“O-Ok!”
And so the two brought their lips together once more, and this time, their tongues got in on the action.  The two of them lingered together, not wanting to let each other go, but it had to end eventually,  And so, finally, they parted.
“Wow,” said Aster.
“That was . . . incredible,” said G’raha.
Aster smiled, and she turned toward the cliffside.  “Come sit with me so we can see the view,” she suggested.
“Alright, that sounds great!”
Aster sat down on the ground and folded her legs, and the Crystal Exarch went next to her.  Then, to G’raha’s surprise, the astrologian reached out, and put an arm round him.
“Like that?” the Hero of LIght asked.
“Very much,” he replied, blushing.
“Put your head in my lap,” she suggested.  “I want to pet your cute little head.”
His face turned redder.  “That would be . . . very good.”
And so he brought his head down, and placed it onto her folded thigh.  With a smile, Aster reached down, and gently ran her head over the Crystal Exarch’s head, petting him softly.  He let out a sigh, and leaned into the pets, enjoying the moment.
The Hero of Light smiled as she felt G’raha relax on her lap.  She smiled and gave him little scratches behind his ears, and he let out a happy sound.  “So,” Aster asked as she continued stroking his head, “would you want to try dating?”
“Of course,” the Crystal Exarch replied.  He didn’t hesitate.  “Being your boyfriend . . . would be a great honor.”
Aster laughed.  “That makes me happy to hear.”
And so the couple continued to relax together, secure in each other’s presence.
