__________

The tiny earth pony Swift Trot was best friends with a food pony, Strawberry Heart, who was a pony made out of strawberry shortcake.  Unfortunately, today that friendship would be his undoing. . .
He fell off a shelf and landed inside of Strawberry Heart’s bowl of sliced strawberries.  For a while he was woozy and unsteady thanks to the far height from which he had fallen down, and everything was a blur.  When he regained his full consciousness, he realized he was in somewhere wet . . . and sticky. . .
Swift Trot’s eyes flew open, and he stood up, feeling panicked.  The place he was in was framed by teeth—and he was currently sitting on a tongue!  He was in someone’s mouth . . . and it had to be Strawberry Heart’s mouth, didn’t it?
“Strawberry Heart?!” he called.  “It’s me, Swift Trot!  Spit me out!”
But Strawberry Heart couldn’t hear anything.  Thinking he was just another strawberry piece on her tongue, she tossed him backwards.
Swift Trot screamed as he was thrown back, and he landed near the end of her tongue.  Looking back, he could see the dark abyss of her throat, and the earth pony started to panic.  “No no no, don’t swallow!” he called, trying to get his friend’s attention.  “DON’T—”
/Gulp!/  The sound of swallowing—exactly the opposite of what Swift Trot wanted—echoed around the mouth, and the poor pony was sucked down the ravenous throat, forced into darkness.
The esophagus squeezed around the tiny pony, rendering him unable to move thanks to the constricting space he was inside.  He struggled and tried to fight, but he was practically frozen—great.  Just great.  And so, he was forced downwards, bit by bit, inch by inch, as the throat carried him. . .
Then, he felt his tail pop into a new space—an open space, one that wasn’t squeezing around him constantly.  For a moment, the earth pony breathed out a sigh of relief.  But then, he realized where he had to be going, and quickly tried to reverse course.
He renewed his struggles in the throat, fighting as hard as he could to try and go back upward.  But like before, nothing worked, and his helpless body just continued to go downwards.  “No no no!” Swift Trot screamed.  “Come on, come on, I have to get out of here!”  But nothing he did could save him from his fate.
And so, more of his tiny body slit downward: first it was just his tail, but then, his back legs and midsection popped in, then his forelegs and front end.  Finally, his head was forced inside, and the earth pony found himself falling.
“Ahhhh!” he screamed as he plummeted downwards.  A moment later, he landed on moist ground with an, “Omph!” and Swift Trot sat up, groaning.  Not wanting to believe he was in /there/, he took out his phone for light, and looked around his new environment.
He was surrounded by wet, slimy walls, ones that dripped with a juice that smelled like strawberries.  The whole place already smelled like strawberry shortcake—it permeated the whole atmosphere.  The floor beneath him wasn’t as wet as the walls, but the earth pony had a feeling that it wouldn’t be that way for long. . .
So his worst suspicions were confirmed: he was inside of Strawberry Heart’s stomach!  Trying his best not to panic, Swift Trot took several deep breaths, and tried to think rationally for a way out.
Hmm . . . oh, maybe that would work!  Perhaps if he hit on the stomach walls hard enough, it would either get Strawberry Heart’s attention, or give her enough indigestion so that he would be spit out!  That was worth a try, right?
And so, he trotted up to one of the walls of the place and brought his front hooves up, so that he was leaning against it.  Then, he started banging against the walls.  “HELP!” the earth pony screamed.  “STRAWBERRY HEART!  YOU SWALLOWED ME!  GET ME OUT OF HERE, PLEASE!”
He continued to hit the walls over and over again, praying that either her hearing her or her getting a stomach ache would soon follow from this.  But after a few minutes of constant banging, it became clear that neither was going to happen, so he stopped, lowering his hooves.  He would have to think of a new plan.
Then he looked over at his phone.  Oh, of course!  He could just /call/ Strawberry Heart and let her know what happened.  Then, he would be out of here in no time!  Smiling with relief, Swift Trot dialed her number, and brought the phone up to his ear.
. . . But the phone didn’t ring.  There wasn’t a dial tone, either.  Frowning, Swift Trot took his phone away from his ear, and soon figured out the problem: he had no signal!  Oh, of course it wouldn’t be that easy!  Darn it!
“Oh, what am I going to do?!” muttered the earth pony, frustrated and scared.  He returned to the center of the stomach, looking around the place and trying to find a way out.  But nothing came to him.
That’s when the whole place started to react.  The stomach let out a /groooooowl/, a roar that echoed around Swift Trot and made him shudder in fear.  Then, liquids began pouring from the walls, creating a pool at the bottom of the belly. . .
Letting out a small scream, the earth pony ran away from the pool as it began to fill up the stomach.  He knew he certainly didn’t want to be in there!  He backed up against one of the walls as the liquids came closer and closer. . . Was this the end?
To his relief, the juices stopped just as they were about to reach him.  He was safe—for now.
Now he just needed to find a way out of this mess. . .
