“This is nice.”
The two Lucario boyfriends sat together in the restaurant, holding hands and looking lovingly into each other’s eyes. Darren smiled at his lover, and Ian blushed and giggled. “What’s so nice about it?” Ian asked.
“Just spending time with you,” replied Darren. “And on Valentine’s Day, at that. . . That’s something really special.”
“Aw, you’re so sweet,” said Ian. He leaned across the table and kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. “Thank you, love. That means a lot to me.”
Their food arrived, and the two fell into a comfy, familiar silence as they quietly ate. “Say,” Darren said when he was halfway done with his food, “do you remember the day we met?”
“Of course, it’s a day I remember . . . well, clear as day!” exclaimed Ian. “How I happened to run into you during my run at the park, when you were lost. And after I helped you, we exchanged numbers.”
Darren smiled. “Yeah. I’m so glad fate had us meet each other that day. My life is better with you in it, dearest.”
“Aw.” Ian teared up a bit. “I love you, Darren.”
“And I love you, Ian.”
And then, they kissed.
