His Light in the Dark.
Added 2021-06-01 03:37:20 +0000 UTCHello! So I took today to draw something in my own style. Remember? If you were here in 2018, I did three sketches that were supposed to be how I naturally do art.
I make a lot of style decisions based on what I THINK people would like. Not always what I like.
Hence my fluctuations from good to bad to good sometimes. ๐
But today, I took the first of those three sketches and made it a complete picture. In my style. ๐ค
No reason. I know I could never make money just doing it this way. But itโs good to feel free every once in a while.
My style was influenced by J Scott Campbell (Danger Girl), Michael Turner (Witchblade) and Yutaka Izubuchi (Record of Lodoss War) which always bleeds through when Iโm doing art.
So this is me essentially bleeding all over the paper.

I can definitely see J Scott Campbell and Michael Turner. I was a big fan of Top Cow back in the day. As a record of Lodoss War fan I can for sure see Izubuchi style in there as well.
