For Mordred, taste-testing is more than just a single bite, but takes 2 whole hot dogs.
I did a bit of experiment on the coloring technique of this one, different than the usual techique.
I tried to create a clearer value separation between the character skin, hair and clothing, making it more readable from a distance.
This also helps to define the silhouette more distinctly.
As for colors, unless it's the area where I want the viewers to focus on, I mostly used less saturated, closer to grayscale tones.
This approach was inspired from observing and analyzing some recent art from a game I'm interested in "Arknight Endfield".
I'm no where near the level of their artists but I really enjoyed learning from this little study.
