Talkin' RiffTrax: A CRIME OF PASSION
Added 2022-05-18 21:18:12 +0000 UTCHi, Traxians! Erik here.
I can't do a Turkey Thursday this week, unfortunately, but here's something I think you'll enjoy at least as much: a new episode of the Talkin' RiffTrax podcast!
In this installment, Mary Jo, Bridget, and I talk about their latest venture into Mary Higgins Clark'ses cinematic universe, the wine-focused murder mystery A Crime of Passion.
Which actor from this movie had a famous roommate AND was a Ronald McDonald once upon a time? What joke did Bridget have to rewrite on the fly? And which character from the movie would we all like to be? You'll have to listen to find out! (Feel free to let us know who you'd like to be in the comments below.)
Enjoy! And thanks, as always, for your support here on Patreon.
SPOILER WARNING: We discuss the reveal of who was behind the titular Crime of Passion, therefore we recommend listening to this after you've already seen the movie.
Back with more soon!
Yours in pretending to know stuff about wine,
Erik
P.S. Just a reminder that you, as Traxians, have access to these audio episodes via a special RSS feed that is exclusive to YOU, and it works with any podcast-listening app. You can find yours here under "Private RSS Link".

I would LOVE to watch Bridget and Mary Jo watch an episode of Murder She Wrote! Doesn't have to be a full riff, even just general commentary/reactions would be fun.

2022-06-28 22:04:44 +0000 UTCThanks Meredith! I have had ice wine, it's also a thing over in Germany. They just let the grapes freeze on the vine and it affects the sugar content! (Cold weather tends to stimulate sugar production because it's like an "anti-freeze" for the fruit!) So it makes sense that Canada would have an ice wine industry too :)

2022-05-24 17:28:42 +0000 UTCAnother great podcast from the three of you! I do want to say, however, I live in Ontario, Canada (a legitimate country) and the Niagara region has a thriving "ice wine" industry. Don't ask me what that is though, I pretty much only drink Vanilla Coke Zero and Fresca.

2022-05-22 23:02:51 +0000 UTCSounds promising! I think we have a bunch more of these, so fingers crossed we can do that one as well!

2022-05-20 00:20:33 +0000 UTCThanks for the kind words, Rufus! I really enjoy hosting these with B&MJ, and I love-love-LOVE taking our time, digging into all the minutiae that they have to offer. My goal is to be at least half as entertaining as they are, but to not stand in the way since they're the real professional comedy professionals here!
