Turkey Thursday: THE LITTLE UNICORN
Added 2021-09-08 17:59:39 +0000 UTCOh hi, Traxians! Let's do a Turkey Thursday, huh?
Please join me tomorrow, September 9th at 3:30 pm Pacific / 6:30 pm Eastern at this link for a watch party of The Little Unicorn! I don't think I've seen this one, but I've heard rumors that the unicorn isn't really all that little. No passcode is required, just a desktop/laptop* with Google Chrome and the Scener browser extension.
I have an affinity for when the riffers tackle kids' movies, because those films are almost always weirder than anything you'd see in movies made "for grown-ups." And this one is from the same writer/director of Berserker, Deadly Instincts, and Merlin: The Return! So you know you're in for something special.
See you then!
P.S. Now that Scener has Beta support for the RiffTrax website, I'm thinking about doing some premiere-day watch parties to test it out. If that's something you'd be interested in, let me know in the comments! The only requirement (besides Chrome with the Beta Scener extension installed) is that you would need to additionally purchase the riff on its release day. Scener Beta also does work with Friends subscription titles, but it could be fun to do watch parties of new releases too. Let me know what you all think about that idea!
- Erik
* Some Scenesters last week were unaware that there currently is no mobile support for a fully synced Scener experience. I know they are working on it, but it's a more complicated feature request, so for now, please use a full-size computer for all your Scener-ing.

2021-09-08 19:42:21 +0000 UTCI think yes, the watch party would pretty much be during the day - around the same time (3:30 Pacific / 6:30 Eastern) if not earlier.

2021-09-08 19:12:34 +0000 UTCI'd be down for some release day watches assuming they take place right around the same time of day as the regular watch parties. (Work and sleep are such pains.) I usually end up buying new stuff pretty quickly anyway so, it would work out well.
