I'll be streaming the Extended Preview of our next feature-length riff release (a 1950s monster movie that should be right up everyone's alley!), followed by a movie with a decidedly NON-Justice League-worthy superhero, Supersonic Man! The movie will be played through Vimeo, so no streaming service is required - just the free Scener extension and Chrome browser. EDIT: Sadly, Vimeo integration is currently broken. Hopefully the Scener folks will get it fixed before the next one!
Then, at 5:30pm Pacific / 8:30 pm Eastern, Netflix subscribers can enjoy a watch party of our riff on M. Night Shyamalan's epic disaster, The Last Airbender in the RiffTrax Scener theater. No code is required!
Be sure to Follow the RiffTrax account on Scener:
And then click the Edit Profile link from your avatar anywhere on Scener, and enable notifications to be sure you know each time we schedule a new watch party (or go live with one). Like so:
Under the "Account" submenu, toggle ON the notifications you'd like to receive. Emails go out when we schedule a new party, and Chrome notifications tell you when we've gone live:
You might also consider following The Traxian Room as well, which is where we'll have all of our secret Patron-only screenings.

2021-03-26 15:59:42 +0000 UTCStrange! Since neither platform worked for you, I suspect there might still be an issue with your Chrome Scener extension. From what I understand, Chrome does very aggressive caching of some things, and any time Scener adds features or improvements, it's possible that something in Chrome just doesn't see the change. The Scener folks are committing to getting these bugs fixed, but it's complicated. We had 80 people watching pretty much the entire thing, with no issues so I know that for the most part it works as it should. But I've also asked Scener to respond to your emails so they can hopefully walk you through some troubleshooting steps which will in turn help their development team figure out a permanent solution.

2021-03-26 00:36:22 +0000 UTCI was able to force my way into the last Amazon Prime showing but today was a fail for me. I tried dumping cache and Amazon cookies and restarting Chrome with no other tabs open, and it still just kept popping back to the movie listing page in between spinning and maybe a millisecond pop of the movie. I hope Scener can get a smoother Amazon Prime experience before the next time y'all screen something there.

It might not be until tomorrow since they are in a later time zone. Hopefully you can come back for the Netflix portion. I suspect that it will work better!

I've let the Scener folks know and they're going to take a look - hopefully we'll have it fixed in time for the next one!

2021-03-25 22:56:46 +0000 UTCSorry about that! I've got the Scener guys on the case. I know Amazon stuff is a bit picky at the moment. The only way we had gotten the issues you saw fixed in the past was to totally clear caches and restart Chrome. Chrome does a lot of weird caching that seems to interfere with the way Scener works on Amazon. If you wouldn't mind, please send support@scener.com an email and let them know what happened.
