Turkey Tuesday #1 - TODAY! Scener + Amazon Prime

First, I wanted to thank everyone who watched our Scener Stream and Scream events in October. I personally had a lot of fun watching a couple of riffs I hadn't seen yet, along with one of my old favorites, Ghost House. (But then again, all I know are computers.)

I received a lot of great feedback from many people, and it became very clear that this is a thing you all want to have happen more and more. So, with that in mind, today I'm running a bit of an experiment: Turkey Tuesdays!

On Turkey Tuesdays, we'll gather as a group over on Scener, and we'll watch bad movies — riffed and/or unriffed. Each Turkey Tuesday we'll also change streaming platforms, to make sure that everyone has a chance to join in the fun. We'll also ask Traxians via Patreon polls what platform or movies will be next.

I know this is very short notice, but I also know that many of us could use a distraction every now and then, especially when the week is just getting started. So, for this very first Turkey Tuesday experimental event ("experivent"?), I'm going to ask everyone with an Amazon Prime subscription to join me on Scener (@TheTraxianRoom) at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern. Bring your desk/laptop computer (or Home Theater PC) and your Amazon Prime subscription. Mobile and tablet support for Scener still requires you to sync up manually. It's easier than it sounds but currently not recommended.

Here's today's tentative schedule:

2pm-ish Pacific: THE HAPPENING (Sync App style)
3:30ish pm: Prisoners of the Lost Universe (Prime Video)

If all goes well, and everyone has fun, we'll plan one for next week so you have more advance notice! I have a few ideas for the next ones, especially after seeing what's available on HBO Max (Catwoman! Steel! Xanadu!) and Disney+ (National Treasure! Return to Oz! Kazaam!) — movies we haven't yet riffed, but which I'm sure we'd all enjoy watching with a group of like-minded individuals such as yourselves.
