Added 2019-11-27 16:00:08 +0000 UTCHey everyone, Bill here.
Here’s an exclusive Patreon audio clip where I tell you about my secret history with Tetris! Specifically, its earworm-y music theme. Be warned: I sing in this clip.
Also, it’s Thanksgiving, so I want to express my gratitude to you all for supporting us here at RiffTrax. We’re incredibly grateful, and wish you a wonderful holiday. Feast away!

Well-done, Bill! That was a super-cool story, personal anecdote, and bit of gaming trivia (and Russian folklore trivia, music trivia, catholic school trivia ... wow, you packed a lot into one .mp3!) ... of course, now I am intrigued by how a nun got interested in a Russian sex and murder folk song and loved it enough to create a 2nd-grade-safe version!

2019-12-07 21:40:42 +0000 UTCThis story reminds me of how, when I was a wee lad, I played this arcade game - a Space Invaders knockoff, essentially - called Phoenix. It had this very distinctive music that played throughout the game. One song was Fur Elise, but the other I'd never heard before. Decades later I heard it in a TV show, and discovered it's an old 19th century Spanish guitar piece by an anonymous composer, called "Romance de Amor" or just "Romance".

2019-11-29 14:24:05 +0000 UTCNow this is the juicy kind of info we can only get on Patreon! (And cements the correlation between Bill and my friend who can sing to completion every song he learned in childhood - and must once he starts one.)
