Project L's Patreon is now billed monthly - what does this mean?
Added 2022-07-02 19:26:10 +0000 UTCAs the title says - Project L's Patreon is now billed monthly, and any newcomers are required to pay before accessing the whole of Patreon's content history.
No more freeloaders!
More reasons for more frequent, more casual content.
And thank you for your trust.
As far as I know, no actions are required from you, as old Patrons. You will be billed at the start of the next month, as it has been for quite a while.
Changes in Patreon tiers?
I've received some questions about different tiers, or changes for current tiers - and honestly, I have no idea.
Should something change?
I was thinking of changing the minimum pledge from 2 EUR to 3 EUR equivalent to make up the difference from not getting any advertisement revenue from YouTube and moving the future videos to Patreon - but would it be fair, or would it cross the pain thresold of supporting the project?
How do you feel about the current tiers right now?
Is there something else I could provide that would be worth it - should, for example, upcoming remastered projects be locked behind a certain level of paywall, or would that feel unfair? (a bit, I think?)
Nothing is set in stone right now. I want to hear your opinions!

I understand! Two euros is such a small sum, but suddenly three feels quite a commitment. I'll have to consider this.
2022-07-02 19:58:17 +0000 UTCI think it's good to have a 2€ starting tier to attract new people. 2€ is small enough to pay for a month just to try it out and see if you like the creator's content or not. Also, I pay 2€ to the few other creators I follow in Patreon, so giving more to a stranger feels wrong. However, I think you can drop some of the current benefits from the 2€ tier. Especially if the next tier up would be only 3€, you could lock the videos behind that and I think it would feel fair (and compelling to pay that extra euro).
