Flop? (6)

So ihr Schlawiner, hier nun die "Flop"-Erläuterung!
Ich hatte mir den Ausflug nach München ursprünglich in etwa so vorgestellt wie den nach Nürnberg, nur eben mit Übernachtung. Aber leider lief nicht alles so wie erhofft.

– Lange Wege
Natürlich hab’ ich mal wieder die Strecken vor Ort unterschätzt. Nach meinem Spaziergang in die Innenstadt (siehe Teil 1) war ich total platt. Obendrein schmerzte mein „gesundes“ Bein!

– Die Gegend rund ums Hotel
Das Hotel war nicht all zu weit vom Bahnhof entfernt, was ja eigentlich schon alles sagt. Aber dass man direkt vor der Tür beinahe über Bettler stolpert, hatte ich nicht erwartet. Die ganze Straße bestand aus Spielotheken, Barbershops und Baustellen, was für den ersten Eindruck irgendwie nicht so ansprechend war.

– Die Menschen
Ich hatte gehofft, mein witziges Konzept aus Nürnberg wiederholen zu können und einfach Passanten zu fragen, ob sie mich kurz filmen würden. Leider gab es diesen Vibe in München einfach nicht. Keine bzw. wenige offene oder freundliche Gesichter. Ich habe dann alles ausschließlich mit Stativ gefilmt/fotografiert.

– Das Wetter
War als ungewöhnlich sonnig und einigermaßen warm vorhergesagt. War dann aber am ersten Tag lediglich „ganz ok“ und am zweiten Tag trüb und kalt.

– Das Hotelzimmer
…hatte ich mir ausgesucht, weil es sich online sehr hell, freundlich, stylisch und groß präsentiert hat. Ich dachte, falls ich draußen nicht ausreichend Material sammeln kann, habe ich eine schicke Ausweichkulisse. Leider war das Zimmer ein düsterer Schlauch, mit so gut wie keinem Tageslicht. Außerdem hat die Heizung nicht funktioniert, sodass mir beim Gipsen echt kalt war. Ich wollte aber auch keinen Techniker o.ä. anfordern, denn der hätte mich ja dann beim Gipsen gestört.

Und zu guter Letzt…

– Der Gips itself
War schon als SLWC an der Unterseite nicht ganz optimal gepolstert/gebaut und dadurch unbequem beim Gehen. Bei der Umwandlung zum LLWC habe ich ihn dann einfach nicht lang genug trocknen lassen. Daraufhin ist er immer mehr eingedellt und kaputt gegangen, auf den Bildern in diesem Post sieht man es ein bisschen. Deshalb gibt’s auch leider kein LLWC-Video!

Ich habe für diesen Dreh im Verhältnis zum Ergebnis recht viel Geld ausgegeben und war danach mit allem insgesamt extrem unzufrieden. Umso überraschter war ich von euren sehr positiven Reaktionen. Habe mich sehr darüber gefreut!

Übrigens war's das noch nicht ganz, es gibt noch einen letzten Teil :)

So, guys, here's the explanation for the "flop"!
I had originally imagined the trip to Munich to be similar to the one to Nuremberg, only with an overnight stay. But unfortunately, not everything went as hoped.

– Long distances
Of course, I once again underestimated the distances on site. After my walk to the city center (see part 1), I was pretty exhausted. Plus, my “healthy” leg had started to hurt!

– The area around the hotel
The hotel wasn't too far from the train station, which pretty much says it all. But I hadn't expected to almost trip over beggars right outside the door. The whole street consisted of gambling halls, barbershops, and construction sites, which wasn't very appealing as a first impression.

– The people
I had hoped to repeat my funny concept from Nuremberg and simply ask passersby if they would film me for a moment. Unfortunately, that vibe just wasn't there in Munich. There were few, if any, open or friendly faces. So I ended up filming/photographing everything exclusively with a tripod.

– The weather
The forecast had predicted unusually sunny and reasonably warm weather. But on the first day it was only “okay,” and on the second day it was cloudy and cold.

– The hotel room
…had seemed to be very bright, friendly, stylish and big when I found it online. I thought that if I couldn't collect enough material outside, I would have a great alternative setting. Unfortunately, the room was a gloomy tube with almost no daylight. In addition, the heating didn't work, so I was really cold while applying the cast. But I didn't want to call a technician or anything like that, because that would have disturbed me while I was casting.

And last but not least...

– The cast itself
It wasn't optimally padded/constructed at the bottom, which made walking in it uncomfortable, even as an SLWC. When converting it to an LLWC, I simply didn't let it dry long enough. As a result, it became more and more dented and broken, as you can see a little in the pictures in this post. That's why there's no LLWC video, unfortunately!

I spent quite a lot of money on this shoot in relation to the result and was extremely dissatisfied with everything afterwards. So I was all the more surprised by your very positive reactions. I was very happy about that!
