R.I.P. Video Store

Hey ihr Schlawiner!
Ich möchte euch berichten, dass ich mich von einem treuen Begleiter getrennt habe. Meine Webseite www.alexandrafootage.com habe ich in 2016 mit Wordpress selbst gebastelt. Ich kann mich ehrlich gesagt nicht mehr erinnern, wieso genau ich mich für diese eher komplizierte Variante entschieden habe. Wie das alles funktionierte, habe ich mir zusammengegoogelt und als das Shopsystem später etwas komplexer wurde, habe ich mir einen Freelancer/Programmierer dazugeholt. Später bin ich zur Verkaufsplattform Gumroad gewechselt.

Für alle, die mich noch nicht so lange kennen: Bevor ich mit und dank euch das wundervolle Thema Gips entdecken durfte, habe ich Videos zu vielen anderen Fußthemen gemacht. Ich habe Torten zermatscht, Musikinstrumente mit Holzlatschen zertrampelt, Luftballons platzen lassen oder bin als Riesin (Giantess) durch Städte und Straßen gewandelt.
Später habe ich dann nur noch Gipscontent gemacht und der Fokus hat sich von meiner Webseite zu Patreon verlagert. Der alte Videoshop lief weiterhin nebenher, aber zeitlich konnte ich nicht beide Seiten parallel bespielen, sodass es nur noch selten und irgendwann gar keine neuen Inhalte mehr auf der Webseite gab. Ein paar Videos wurden weiterhin ab und zu gekauft, was mich sehr gefreut hat. Allerdings standen die geringen Umsätze in keinem Verhältnis zu dem riesigen Buchhaltungsaufwand, der damit einherging. Habe mich damit 2 Tage pro Quartal rumgequält >.<

Also hab’ ich den Shop vor ein paar Tagen gelöscht. Mir war aber wichtig, dass die URL erhalten bleibt – falls Patreon mich eines Tages wegen irgendwelcher neuen Richtlinien rausschmeißt (mein Content gilt als NSFW, was die meisten Zahlungsanbieter generell nicht mögen). Das ist übrigens auch der Grund, weshalb ich die URL www.alexandrafootage.com in allen Videos einblende – damit es im äußersten Notfall eine Adresse gibt, an der ich definitiv wiedergefunden werde.
Nun gibt es also den Shop nicht mehr und ich werde auf der inzwischen neu eingerichteten Seite hin und wieder Vorschauvideos oder ähnliches posten. Was mit den alten Videos passiert, weiß ich noch nicht.
Ich bedanke mich jedenfalls bei allen Käufern der ersten Stunde, die die Webseite vermutlich ab dem ersten Gipsvideo verfolgt und mich mit regelmäßigem „Shopping“ treu unterstützt haben :)

I would like to tell you that I have parted with a faithful companion. I built my website www.alexandrafootage.com myself in 2016 using Wordpress. To be honest, I can't remember exactly why I opted for this rather complicated option. I googled how it all worked and when the store system became a bit more complex later on, I brought in a freelancer/programmer.
I later switched to the Gumroad sales platform.


For those of you who haven't known me that long: Before I was allowed to discover the wonderful topic of cast with and thanks to you, I made videos on many other foot topics. I squashed cakes, crushed musical instruments with clogs, popped balloons and walked through cities and streets as a giantess.

Later, I only made cast content and the focus shifted from my website to Patreon. The old video store continued to run on the side, but I couldn't manage both sites at the same time, so there was rarely any new content on the website and at some point none at all. A few videos were still bought from time to time, which made me very happy. However, the low turnover was disproportionate to the huge amount of bookkeeping work involved. I spent 2 days a quarter struggling with it >.<

So I deleted the store a few days ago. But it was important to me that the URL remains, in case Patreon kicks me out one day because of some new guidelines (my content is considered NSFW, which most payment providers generally don't like).
Incidentally, this is also the reason why I show the URL www.alexandrafootage.com in all videos, so that in an extreme emergency there is an address where I can definitely be found again.
So now the store no longer exists and I will occasionally post preview videos or similar on the new page that has been set up in the meantime.
I don't yet know what will happen to the old videos. 
In any case, I would like to thank all the "buyers from the very beginning" who have probably followed the website regularly since the first cast video and have supported me faithfully with regular shopping :)
