Everyone is on vacation + a cancellation

It's that time of year again, when all my cast friends seem to have decided at the same time to go on vacation. I begrudge them, because as many here know from their own painful experience, the German summer 2023 has weather-wise rather been like autumn over the last weeks.
So for my upcoming shoot I had no contributors.
Then I remembered an acquaintance whom I had met a few weeks ago while walking the dog. She had made a funny reference to my job and mentioned in another context that she could currently use some extra income.
So I called her briefly and asked if she would be up for a little photo shoot. First she sounded very interested and we have even already made an appointment, although she mentioned several times that she had very ugly feet (not true at all!).
Then I sent her a few recent videos so she could get an impression. As a result, she unfortunately cancelled our appointment again. I had assumed that she would know roughly what I do. She assumed that she would only hold her (casted) foot anonymously into the camera. If she were to be seen in full, she feared, her boss might find out about it, and so on.
Sometimes my attempts at "recruitment" just don't work ^^ So once again it had to be just the camera and me.
To add a little something special, I tried a rosy cast color (spray paint, like the other day). I find it quite wonderful and I will show you the result starting tomorrow!

Alle im Urlaub + eine Absage
Es ist mal wieder diese Zeit im Jahr, in der alle meine Gipsfreundinnen offenbar gleichzeitig beschlossen haben, in den Urlaub zu fahren. Es sei ihnen gegönnt, denn wie viele hier aus leidvoller Erfahrung selbst wissen, ist der deutsche Sommer 2023 recht herbstlich.
Für mein anstehendes Shooting hatte ich also keine Mitwirkende.
Da fiel mir eine Bekannte ein, die ich vor ein paar Wochen beim Gassi gehen getroffen hatte. Sie hatte eine witzige Anspielung auf meinen Job gemacht und in einem anderen Zusammenhang erwähnt, dass sie aktuell einen Nebenverdienst gebrauchen könnte.
Ich habe sie also kurz angerufen und gefragt, ob sie Lust auf ein kleines Shooting hätte. Erst klang sie sehr interessiert und wir haben sogar schon einen Termin ausgemacht, obwohl sie mehrfach betonte, dass sie sehr hässliche Füße habe (stimmt gar nicht!).
Anschließend habe ich ihr ein paar aktuelle Videos geschickt, damit sie sich einen Eindruck machen konnte – daraufhin kam dann leider prompt eine Absage. Ich hatte angenommen, dass sie ungefähr wüsste, was ich so mache. Sie ging davon aus, dass sie lediglich ihren (Gips-)fuß anonym in die Kamera halten würde. Würde man sie komplett sehen, so ihre Angst, könnte ihre Chefin davon Wind kriegen und so weiter und so fort.
Meine Anwerbungsversuche funktionieren manchmal eben auch nicht ^^ Und so hieß es mal wieder "nur die Kamera und ich".
Um eine kleine Besonderheit einzubauen, habe ich Hellrosa als Gipsfarbe (Sprühlack, wie neulich) ausprobiert. Ich find's ganz wundervoll und zeige euch ab morgen das Ergebnis!
